In the previous lessons discussing the operations of God the Son at salvation, it was mentioned that at salvation a person is put into Jesus Christ which is synonymous with being put into his body, the church. It is the Holy Spirit who carries out this act. This act is referred to as a “baptism.” The word baptism simply means “immersion” and the Holy Spirit at salvation completely immerses the new believer in and into the Lord Jesus Christ and his body, the church.
